These recent months of September and October, our country was again ravaged by strong typhoons which caused untold damage to both property and human lives. In particular, typhoon Pedring flooded most part of Central Luzon extending from Pangasinan down to Bulacan. The flooding in these areas forced many families to flee their homes; this displacement necessitated our government to send rescue and relief operations.
Last October 9, 2011, our Adventist Community Services Department (ACS) headed by Sis. Beth Rivera; the head of Deaconesses, Cely Aquino, Pastor Joel Sarmiento, Garcia Family and other volunteers distributed relief goods to more than 300 families in San Simon, Pampanga. Each relief pack distributed contains ready to eat food and water, this is what the victims needed badly as the flooded recedes very slowly and would most likely to stay for another week.
Let us continuously pray and extend help to all the typhoon victims in our country. ACS will gladly appreciate your donations for this cause.
