Revival Weekend at Manila Center, December 2011

“Revived and Restored” is Manila Center’s pre-year-end theme for revival last December 16-17, 2011. Pastor Mario Phillip, a graduate studies student from AIIAS was the main speaker for the event.  Pastor Phillip spoke of four (4) topics during said revival namely:  “God’s Way or No Way”; “Get Out of Your Wilderness”; “Though No One Go With Me”; and “The Price of Commitment”.  Capping the revival weekend was the baptism of six (6) souls which include those who decided to be baptized after Pastor Phillip appealed during one of his sermons.

During his Divine Worship sermon that followed after the cantata of the Empyrean Minstrels, Pastor Phillip used a physical cross to demonstrate and emphasize his point.  The man-size cross that each follower of Jesus has to carry, symbolize the trials they have to overcome by God’s grace throughout their Christian journey.  It is not an easy task, but becomes only bearable for them who continually depend on God’s power.  Pastor Phillip was joined by his wife at MCC during the entire revival series.
