The pastoral staff headed by Pastor Joel Sarmiento (Senior Pastor of MCC) along with the elders of Manila Center took time-out last Monday, December 12, 2011 to visit our institutions at Cavite Province. The first stop was the Southern Asia Pacific Division (SSD), the headquarters of our division located at Silang. Then the group proceeded to Adventist International Institute for Advance Studies (AIIAS); the institution which is dedicated to advancement and higher learning is also located at Silang is managed by General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists.
The group took their lunch at Balinsasayaw, a local restaurant known to SSD and AIIAS residents for its fine cuisine. And after their hearty meal, the group proceeded to their final destination that day, the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP). This activity was a learning trip for most of the new elders and this gave the pastoral staff some needed bonding moments. This occasion was also used to invite potential Divine Worship speakers from these institutions for the coming year 2012.
